Software updates and customization are done via USB cable. Module is visible in your OS simply as an external drive! 
Compatibility VW/SEAT/Skoda
Module is compatible with following VW/SEAT/Skoda models:
- Volkswagen Golf IV,
- Volkswagen Bora/Jetta IV,
- Volkswagen Passat B5, B5FL,
- Volkswagen Sharan I FL,
- Volkswagen T4 (> MY2001)
- Seat Leon I (electronics from Passat B5/Golf mk4 + Audi A3 enclosure),
- Seat Toledo II (electronics from Passat B5/Golf mk4 + Audi A3 enclosure),
- Seat Alhambra I,
- Skoda Octavia I,
- Skoda Superb I (electronics from Passat B5 or Octavia)
The device only works in cars equipped with CAN bus (eg. instrument cluster OEM part number xxx 920 xxx).
The device can only be installed on VDO-made Immo3 clusters, equipped with a half-size FIS display.

In case of VW/Seat/Skoda platforms, device is compatible with both types of CCM modules, ie. 1C0 959 799 and 1J0 959 799, with the latter, additional twisted pair has to be passed from CCM to the instrument cluster.
Compatibility Audi
Module is compatible with following Audi models:
- Audi A2
- Audi A3 8L,
- Audi A4 B5,
- Audi A6 C5
The device only works in cars equipped with CAN bus (eg. instrument cluster OEM part number xxx 920 xxx).
The device can only be installed in the VDO-made instrument cluster with full-size FIS. Also the instrument cluster must have an updated software, i.e. shall identify itself as KOMBI+WEGFAHRS. VDO and show 1.01.2000 date by default. Clusters with C5/B5/AB-KOMBIINSTR. VDO identity or with the default date of 1.01.1999 are not compatible.
Installation
Device replaces factory FIS display. Self-installation of the device requires certain soldering skills and some elementary understanding of electronics!
Depending on the platform, vehicle equipment and desired functionalities, the number of cables to be soldered ranges from 5 to a maximum of 15. Installation and connection of the module are significantly simpler compared to other, competitive solutions.

Module is controlled via MFA wiper stalk. If your car is not equipped with one, it has to be installed first.
Warranty
Device is covered by 12-month limited warranty.
Warranty does not cover any electrical, electrostatical or mechanical damage inflicted to the device by improper storage, incorrect or regardless installation.
In particular, the warranty does not cover any damage caused by excessive stress on the screen surface.
Device is equipped with a DC/DC converter, and some pieces could produce barely audible high-pitched noise. This is not a defect and is not the basis for a complaint or refound.
